Real Green Weddings
Cary Chadwick and James Pulaski were married September 6, 2009 at Tyrone Farm in Promfret, Connecticut.
About the Couple:
Cary is a lifelong environmentalist who works in land use, education and research; James is an engineer who spends his free time building bicycles. The couple met in 2004 at an indoor rock climbing gym. After a few weeks of eyeing each other across the gym, they began talking and casually hanging out as climbing partners. Over a month later, James finally asked Cary on a date. On their first date, James confessed that he loved dogs and built bicycles, and Cary fell head over heels. After four years of dating, James proposed during a climbing trip to Mount Washington.
Decision to Go Green:
Cary and James knew that they wanted to have a green wedding. The bride told us: “We believe the type of wedding you and your spouse choose to have not only says a lot about your character, personality and values, but can also impart those values on your family and friends attending the event.” Both Cary and James have careers and interests rooted in the green movement and they wanted to use their wedding as an opportunity to show family and friends how easy it can be to go green.
